KA.DER has organized Schools of Politics between 2003 and 2015 for 12 years, in order for ensuring equal representation of women within decision-making mechanisms that were participated in by elections and assignments. The main objectives of Schools of Politics can be summarized as follows:
- To increase the number of women candidates and of elected women in elections,
- To raise awareness of the participants regarding politics, woman policy and gender issues,
- To create a pool of women / parliamentary candidates, who are active in politics and are from different political parties,
- To ensure dialogue between women from different political parties,
- To be able to ensure all the participants to meet on “common ground of womanhood”, despite the differences in their ideological and political views,
- To provide them with theoretical and practical knowledge and with experience support in order to strengthen the participants in politics,
- To prepare the books for the Schools of Politics and use these materials in trainings,
A total of 1642 female politicians participated in KA.DER Schools of Politics held between 2003 and 2015
