The main objective of the Schools of Politics project, which was held with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) during the 2011 general election, was to increase the number of woman candidates and of elected women in the general elections; and to ensure all the participants to meet on “common ground of womanhood”, despite the differences in their ideologies and political views by ensuring dialogue between women from different political parties. With the project, theoretical and practical knowledge sharing and experience sharing were provided in order to strengthen the participants before election. During the 2011 general election period, of participants of Schools of Politics, 33 women became candidate for nomination for MP nomination, 12 women became candidate for MP nomination and 1 woman became a MP.
