The study visit was organized between 24 and 29 May 2009, in order to visit Sweden with 16 women attending Schools of Politics in 2008-2009 period, in order to closely monitor the women’s movement and parliamentary work there and to understand the place of women in politics with international experience and perspective and to provide experience sharing. KA.DER Women Candidate Support Workshop; Candidate Support Workshop was held on 21-22 February 2009 with the participation of 14 women who were candidates for various levels in local elections.
Between April 2008 and January 2009, in 10 different cities, 5 day long Schools of Politics trainings were held.
Within the scope of KA.DER Schools of Politics, a total of 68 trainings were conducted throughout Turkey by visiting 21 cities.
Schools of Politics were conducted with 250 female politicians from AKP (JDP-Justice and Development Party), CHP (RPP-Republican People’s Party), DTP (Democratic Society Party), MHP (Nationalist Movement Party), DP (DP-Democratic Party), SHP (SDPP-Social Democratic People’s Party), ANAVATAN (Motherland Party), TDP (Cyprus Socialist Democracy Party), Green Party, HYP (Rise of the People’s Party), YTP (New Turkey Party), DSP (Democratic Left Party) and ÖDP (Freedom and Solidarity Party).
